This study, commissioned by the Department of Sustainable Economic Development (DDE) is based on interviews with 27 Dutch entrepreneurs operating in Mali, South Sudan and regions of Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. Many have experienced challenges and in some cases political turmoil. How do these companies cope with fragility and political risk? What does it take to create jobs in fragile settings?
